[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide tobacco cessation and chronic disease prevention and health promotion statewide with a focus primarily on tobacco cessation and promoting the QuitLine services to the government authority located in Pierre, SD.
- Provide prevent initiation among youth and young adults, promote quitting among adults and youth, eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke and identify and eliminate tobacco-related disparities among population groups.
- The contractor shall dedicate one full-time employee as state-wide cessation coordinator to provide state-wide cessation services for all residents.
- Contractor shall provide state-wide tobacco cessation services consistent with the tobacco control program plans, which reflect evidence-based approaches and are recommended by the tobacco control program and the centers for disease control and prevention.
- Coordinator is expected to develop relationships and referral systems with local health care, social service providers, and to local cessation providers. Support efforts of medical, dental, and other public and private organizations and individuals through personal contact, trainings, and resource materials to advise patients to quit using tobacco products.
- Coordinator is expected to collaborate with businesses and healthcare facilities using materials developed by the State to establish and enhance tobacco-free policies and promote cessation among their employees and patients.
- Coordinator is expected to assist the tobacco control program with program development, training and evaluation as needed.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than March 1, 2022
(3) Completion of site visits will be held on February 11, 2022
(4) Letter of Intent to Respond Due will be due on February 4, 2022
[C] Eligibility:
- Onshore (US Organization Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
